In honor of Joe's birthday here is a great story that reminds me of him......
Enjoy

I love this
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed..

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car..

The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children.

Spend time with your parents.

Visit with grandparents.

Take your spouse out to dinner.

Play another 18.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter.

Set your priorities.

The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented.

The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.'

The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend..

Where does the time go.....

I have always said that the clock is my enemy!! I simply do not know where the time goes!! 24 hours in a day has never been enough for me........
I celebrated my 44th Birthday last month and had a wonderful day! I was greeted by 25 smiling preschoolers first thing in the morning and Isabella surprised me with a balloon :o). That afternoon My Mom, Sister Gina and I went to a day spa for relaxing pedicures...thanks Joe, then all the gals had lunch at Chevy's. I spent the evening with my three favorite guys eating pizza (with candles and a happy b-day song!) and watching the Twilight Movie! My celebration continues until the end of April when I will celebrate with our entire family. My Grandpa always said make your b-day last a month, and I think it is a great idea!!

I am Blessed

Tonight was our Elementary Schools Founder's Day Event. This is my last year as Anthony moves onto middle school. I have been at this school involved in PTA for 11 years. Tonight I was presented with The Golden Oak Award. This is the highest and most prestigious award given by PTA, though I am not sure I am deserving, I have poured my heart into this school and am sad leaving it behind. Each of the boys gave a speech as to why I was deserving....what an emotional night! They both did an awesome job, what they said was so heartfelt and touching. My children have had an awesome experience there as have I. I leave the PTA in very capable hands, Becky and Sylvia you two ROCK!!!! Thanks so much for the great honor!!! Joe, Joseph, Anthony, Mom, Gina and Isabella thanks so much for being there and bringing gifts!!! I am blessed :o)

Scrapblog

I have known about this site for a long time, I have just never used it.... I wanted to make something for the players on Joe's soccer teams and this was the perfect place. You can create a "digital layout" the site offers so many options! I saved my projects as a jpeg and uploaded them to costco.com to be printed. I am picking them up today hopefully they are fabulous and for under 50 cents each!! I'll let you know how they turn out after I pick them up.......
www.scrapblog.com go check it out.

SNOW!!!

Our Family went up to Arnold, CA last weekend for a snow trip. 5 years ago I took my boys to the snow for the first time, the three of us had NEVER seen snow! We loved it and we have been back every year since! We now drag our entire family with us :o) We had NEVER seen snow actually fall from the sky until this trip! Oh it was beautiful and so much fun! *** Gotta love my outfit!! I don't usually go out in thermal undie pants but my excitement over ruled my good judgment ***

I'mmmmm Back!!!!

Well all the Twilight books are read and all the things I have neglected in reading them are now finished, updating my blog is finally happening!! Anthony's soccer team played in the Association Cup in Redding, CA. We had a really great time! The team did well, tied two games and won one! Coming in second place. Anthony scored a goal and did the usual over the top celebration!! Joe worked really hard to organize this trip for his little guys :o). I am so proud of him. He is such a great Dad and dedicated Coach. Of course Joseph was there cheering on the team. It klls him to just watch and not play...his team will have thier chance in March.

WHEW!!

Well I did it! I finished all four books in the Twilight saga in three weeks and four days!! I now patiently sit back and wait for the people around me to finish all four so we can sit for hours discussing every single aspect of the story!!
